Neely is a Boston Bruins legend who possessed a rare combination
of scoring touch and intimidating toughness. He played 13 seasons in the
NHL, 10 with the Bruins, before retiring in August 1996 with a career-ending
hip injury. Cam scored 395 goals in 726 NHL games, and became just the
second player in Bruins history to record back-to-back seasons of 50 goals
or more. He had his third 50-plus goal season in 1993-94. He had 14 career
hat tricks. Neely was named to the NHL All-Star team nine times, and in
1994, he was award the prestigious "Bill Masterton Trophy" as
the player who best exemplified the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship,
